Sounds Like I was right. The new gear will be better than gear with multiple melds. I prolly should have sold some of my double melded stuff in the last few weeks. Prices may go down in the next few weeks now.

It won’t be possible to attach materia to job-specific gear. Job-specific gear will feature stats that are better than gear that is craftable that have more than one materia attached. With that said, we will look into adding new gear in future patches that will have better stats than job- specific gear with multiple materia attached to them.

There was also a question about the reasoning for the job-specific gear being referred to as AF (or artifact gear). While the upcoming job-specific gear is a type of artifact gear, there are plans to have other types of artifact gear in the future, some of which won’t necessarily be job-specific."

Patch is downloaded. Now waiting for the server to stabalize so I can start making use of it!

a few things I noticed when looking over the patch notes:

When a single recipe is used a set number of times in a row, crafting is interrupted. In anotherwords, they put in bot-crafting countermeasures, that also affect mashing the enter-key while watching tv or something. Have to pay more attention to it now.

all new job-quests start in the Gladiators guild, so if you were thinking of running to Grid to start your way towards White Mage, don't bother.

Crowd Control tactics effect lessen on reuse, until enemy becomes completely immune. In anotherwords, if you use Bind on a moogle enough times (4) then they won't be bindable anymore! time to start utilizing those other effective classes.

Can't wait to see how this all plays out in practice.

From what I can see, only Pld and Mnk start in the Gladiators guild. Whm starts in Con guild, Blm starts in Thm guild etc, am I reading this wrong?
