Finally, an update to equipment that has mostly proven to be an annoyance to date (that's looking at you, "Dated" equipment).
With less accessory slots available, we cannot exploit the elemental resistence or Mag accuracy boosts from using so many low level accessories, but with the removal of the slot system, we can actually wear more than 2 items that match our actual level! I'm also stoked about there finally being accessories that boost Gathering or Crafting stats.
Now if only they would expand the maximum-line-per-macro feature, so we could attach all of our wonderful new accessories with the same Macro as the job-class switch. Even now, with only 10 lines available I find that there's only room for at most 3 accessories after equipment, and that's not counting jobs with an Off-hand tool.
Yeah I'm liking the accessory boost but I dont normally equip any accessories with my macros change. I dont think I will plan on doing that still because I dont plan on carrying rings for every class and such if you know what I mean. I already have enough on me with gear for every job and who knows for the new jobs how much more spots I will need.
NOT HAPPY WITH THESE CHANGES!… Abolishing of the slot cost is all fine and dandy but consolidating how much we wear?! This is horrendous, we have 2 EARS, 2 WRISTS, 8 FINGERS! This is absolute laziness from the dev team. This is 2012 SE! Check your calenders!

I kinda like the change, be nice to put equip on all the slots. Also, I'm guessing there will be quite a few new accessory equip's at the update for GSM to make.
